Is it okay to miss my monthly follow up during the braces treatment?

A monthly dental follow up with your orthodontist is very important during the orthodontic treatment. After your first consultation, you will need to be prepared for a long-term treatment process. Since your teeth are fitted inside your jawbones, there is a high resistance from the jawbones against the movement of the teeth. The movement of your teeth is a biological process during which the orthodontist has to make sure the teeth and the bones supporting the teeth remain healthy throughout the treatment.
